Ruger single six serial numbers lookup

the little Ruger & a 9mm of sorts - so recently my cousin & I headed off to a range. My late Grampy left two guns in my name though just the same. I'm a high level spinal cord injury, (IE: wheelchair bound with rather low upper body strength/mass), and due to such, can't safely hold up a rifle, (.22 with the right rest/tripod's Ok), or shoot anything with too much kick. Now that I've got that out I've got a couple more specific questions & info about myself. It's got a couple small pits here & there + holster wear, though as far as I can tell, all moving parts are tight fitting & move freely/as designed. Can't get a pic atm, but it's a 5.5' with black checkered grips, drift sight etc. (the only chart I've seen seemed to require least 6 digits) It's a #54509, which I assume hasn't had the update done due to its need to be half-cocked for loading. (if I am, my apologies! ) Anywho, I inherited what I believe to be an older model 3 screw & due to the serial number being 5-digits, don't understand how to look up the estimated age.

First post, (as well as first gun of my own), so hope I'm not breaking rules with this grave-dig.
